Honest diagnostics
We test and confirm before we replace anything. No guessing, no unnecessary parts.
Comfort should be straightforward and trustworthy. No pressure, no confusing explanations. Just honest work and reliable results.
I founded Forthright Climate Care with one belief: people deserve HVAC service they can trust.
I chose the name Forthright because it reflects exactly how we work. The word means direct and honest, and that's how we treat every customer. We work with transparency, with respect for your home, and with a commitment to doing the job the right way.
We don't believe in pressure tactics or confusing explanations. Whether it's a quick repair or a full system upgrade, we focus on solutions that make your home more comfortable and efficient, and we explain everything in plain English so you always understand what's happening and why.
Forthright is a new company, but the experience behind it isn't. I bring over a decade of professional HVAC service throughout Southern California. As a licensed C-20 HVAC contractor, I handle every job personally so you feel confident in every decision.
Integrity in every degree. That's our promise.
Roth Minter
Founder & Owner
Roth built his skills in the field, on real systems in real Southern California homes and businesses, learning to find the true cause of a problem instead of guessing.
Roth has spent over a decade providing professional HVAC service across Southern California, including tune-ups, repairs and installations. That experience is behind every visit.
Roth started his own company so customers would get the kind of service he'd want for his own family: honest diagnostics, no commissioned sales pitch and the owner on every job.
Forthright holds California Contractors State License Board license #1163069 (C-20, Warm-Air Heating & Air Conditioning), with full liability coverage and contractor bonding.
With a decade of experience and based in the heart of Orange County, Forthright now cares for homes and businesses in 12 cities, from Yorba Linda to Newport Beach.
Many HVAC companies pay their technicians on commission. Here's how we do it instead.
| Topic | Forthright | Commission-driven companies |
|---|---|---|
| Recommendations | ✓ Based on your needs. No commissions, ever. | ✕ Can be tied to sales targets |
| Pricing | ✓ Clear and upfront. The price you're given is the price you pay. | ✕ Add-ons can appear later |
| Communication | ✓ Plain English, so you know what's happening and why | ✕ Jargon and pressure to decide fast |
| Who's involved | ✓ The owner is involved in every job | ✕ Rotating techs and call centers |
| Labor warranty | ✓ 2 years on qualifying installs and repairs | Often around 1 year |
We test and confirm before we replace anything. No guessing, no unnecessary parts.
No one here is paid on commission, so you get advice, not a sales pitch.
Repairs that last and installs done right, backed by a 2-year labor warranty on qualifying work.
We treat your home like our own and keep you updated the whole way.
